yoga therapy

Tailor made yoga for any special needs.

Isn’t any yoga therapeutical?

I often hear when I talk about yoga therapy.

Good question!

The thing is, what is good for one person can be harmful for another one. Particularly when there is any health challenge present. Yoga can work miracles, especially when it’s tailor made to the individual.

And that is exactly what we do in yoga therapy.

In yoga therapy we work in a holistic way, which means that we address not only the physical, but also the emotional, mental and energetic layers that together create our human experience.

We combine yogic practices with western medical knowledge and psychology. For each individual a specific program is created, taking into account any personal needs. In this way yoga therapy can be a profound support towards a balanced state of being.

What does a yoga therapy process look like?

First of all, there will be an extensive intake in which we discuss your wishes, challenges and (medical) history. I’ll observe your mobility, posture and breath. and will make a personal plan for you.

Since every person needs something unique, no yoga therapy session will be the same. Expect a profound encounter with yourself. In which your body will speak louder than your mind. Through movement, meditation and yoga nidra, relaxation and self-inquiry, all personalised to your specific needs. you get the opportunity to be with yourself on a deeper level. And bring yourself towards a more balanced state of being.

Yoga therapy can be of support in a variety of cases among others:

  • Burn-out

  • Stress-related symptoms such as anxiety, brain fog, exhaustion, panic attacks

  • Insomnia

  • Back pain

  • Joint issues

  • Chronic pain

  • Diabetes

  • Digestive complaints

  • Reproductive complaints

  • Hormone related complaints

  • Neurological disorders (Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease )

  • Immune system complaints

  • Cancer

Also when there is no clear understanding of what the issue is, you are more than welcome. Together we will explore if yoga therapy can be of support.
